Thank you for visiting the Clinical Viewpoints Cholesterol Reduction - How Low Should We Go? Webcourse. Navigation within the site is accomplished by using the buttons at the top of your screen. These buttons remain the same no matter what screen you are viewing.

Returns you to the main page

Program Info:

Takes you to a page which displays the program information

System Requirements:

Takes you to instructions for downloading and installing RealPlayer or Windows Media Player, plug-ins needed to view the Webcast

Webcourse:

Takes you to the Webcourse

CME/CE:

Takes you to a page which lists accreditation information

Help:

Takes you to this screen and a form you can fill out to request technical assistance

Webcourse Instructions

The Webcourse program consists of 11 presentations, with audio and slides or video and slides, all of which require that EITHER RealPlayer or Windows Media Player be downloaded and installed on your machine. More assistance with these plug-ins is provided at the bottom of this page, as well as on the System Requirements page.

In order to view the Webcourse, you will need to select your media preferences and sign in. Clicking on the Webcourse button in the top menu will take you to the Media Preferences page.

After selecting the type of media player you will use as well as the speed, you will be taken to the Sign in page. If you need more information on the required plug-ins and your connection speed, please visit the System Requirements page.

Sign In Page

If you have not previously signed in, you will need to click on the "Create an account now" link on the bottom of the sign in screen to fill out the registration form on the Registration page.

After you complete registration or sign in, you will be asked to read the faculty disclosures on the Disclosures page.

Clicking the "Continue" button at the bottom of the disclosures page will take you to the Webcourse Menu page.

Webcourse Menu Page

The Webcourse Menu page gives you the opportunity to change your media preferences and check your CME Progress. You can begin viewing the Webcourse by clicking on a presentation title. A new window will open with that presentation.

Once you have entered the webcourse, you may also view individual presentations by clicking on the titles of the individual presentations listed in the Presenter Index box. You may jump to different slides within each presentation by clicking on the thumbnail images at the right bottom of the screen.

At the conclusion of each slide presentation you will be asked if you have completed the presentation. Clicking the "Yes, I have completed this presentation" radio button is necessary if you are seeking CME credit or a certificate for this activity.

After you have verified completion status, your selection will be recorded and you will be offered a link to the next presentation.

Next Presentation Screen

When you have verified completion of all presentations, you will be offered a link to the CME/CE exam. If you would like to know which presentations you have verified as complete, you may click on the CME/CE Status button at the top of the Webcourse presentation window, or the CME/CE Progress button on the Webcourse Menu page. Each will take to you a page listing your progress in the course. Once you have completed all presentations, returning to this page will redirect you to the CME/CE exam.

CME/CE Progress Page

After completing the CME/CE exam, you will be shown the score you received and the correct answers. You will then be asked to fill out a program evaluation form. After submitting the evaluation, you will be given the opportunity to view and print your certificate.

    If you are using Version 9, you must do the following in order to allow the synchronized slides to advance:

    • Click Start on your computer (lower left)


    • Click Start on your computer (lower left)


    • Find Windows Media Player in the All Programs Menu and click on it to open


    • Click on Tools and then click on Options


    • Click on the Security tab


    • Check the box to Run script commands when present


    • Click OK and exit


    The following steps summarize the process for obtaining CME/CE credit:

    • Upon the completion of all Slide Presentations you will be prompted to take the CME/CE Activity Examination.

    • The link to the exam will be located on the CME/CE Completion Verification slide.

    • Alternatively, clicking on the CME/CE Status or CME/CE Progress button will take you to CME/CE Exam.


    • When you have completed the test, please click Submit Examination.

    • You will be presented with the results of your test.


    • After viewing your results you must click the CONTINUE button. This will take you to the Evaluation page.


    • Upon completion of the evaluation, please click the Submit Evaluation button.

    • You must complete and submit the evaluation in order to complete the CME/CE certification process.


    Upon completion of the CME/CE posttest and evaluation, your certificate of completion will appear.

    Please user your browser's print function to print this certificate for your records.
